Measuring at 22 inches, the Acer P223W as a native resolution of 1680 x 1050, like the other 22-inch displays. Its brightness level is 300 nits, with a contrast ratio 2500:1, and a response time of 5ms. Connectivity options are limited to just VGA and DVI ports.
The Acer P223W looks the sleekest of them all, though the screen is highly reflective. The stand is designed as a V-shape, unlike the others. But we didn’t face any stability issues. The OSD menu was easy to access with relatively fewer options to worry about. We could see a bit of bleeding at the top of some as the bottom as well, though the latter is not as obvious. The visuals were fantastic during movies and games. Colors looked very rich and dark scenes cames out well. Even the black looked really black. However, after trying out different presets, we didn’t see much improvement over the standard mode.
Surprisingly, this Acer display is among the few that produces great quality. With its sleek and simple design, the Acer P223W should be one of the “must see” in your list. Our only gripe is that the screen is very reflective.
