Just when you thought Apple wouldn’t announce anything major until Macworld, the company announced its ultra-powerful Mac Pro at CES last week.
The company claims the new Mac Pro is one of the fastest computers ever built with the inclusion of two Intel 45nm quad-core Xeon (3.2 GHz) processors, a 1600MHz frontside bus and 2GB 800MHz memory.
The system also has you covered if you want to pile on the memory as it is expandable up to 32GB.
Additionally, the new Mac Pro comes with an ATI Radeon HD 2600 XT graphics card with 256MB video memory. Users also have the option of upgrading to an nVidia GeForce 8800GT with 512MB video memory.
In terms of storage space, the Mac Pro comes with a 320GB Serial ATA hard drive. Additionally, you can expand the Mac Pro’s internal storage capacity with its internal hard drive bays, which are capable of taking in four 1TB (terabyte) Serial ATA hard drives.
