It is perhaps easiest to say that the Sony Ericsson T707 is made with ‘glamour’ in mind. Everything about it from design to functionality seems to entertain the idea of color and gloss, but take that away and you’ll only have a regular flip-phone in hand.
The review unit we had came in Lucid Blue, which looks good. At the front cover is an LCD display. At the front cover is an LCD display. Flip it open and you’ll find a 2.2 inch display, and a set of soft-key numbers plus a round directional pad that compliments the design. It’s a nice looking phone, but simple. The star of the phone however doesn’t shine until you get a call.

With the onslaught of touch screen smart-phones these days, it seems like a precarious step in dangerous territories for the Nokia N86. LG is one of the first few mobile phone manufacturers to use capacitive touch sensitive screens and since then, no one looked at touch screen devices in the same way. The LG Arena we have today was launched recently and our review unit came in silver. Wrapped around the 3 inch screen is a chrome frame, giving the Arena a more classic touch. The phone felt a little plasticky in our hand though. There are three touch sensitive buttons below the screen, namely call, end and shortcut keys.
