How many of you own digital cameras that use CompactFlash (CF) cards as the memory storage vehicle of choice? The chances are a fair bit of you do, which is why the upcoming Delkin ImageRouter will come in handy.
Ever tried to transfer photos and movies from one CF card to another, taking plenty of time to do so while ending up with an ever larger mess on your table with scattered items all over the place? Delkin ImageRouter makes that that a distant memory, featuring the ability to improve your workflow efficiency by transfering data from up to quartet of CF cards, thanks to the four slots which are readily available.
The transfer time will still be the same as you doing it individually, but it sure as heck saves you the hassle of swapping cards (as long as you you’re dealing with less than five cards at most).
Currently, the Delkin ImageRouter’s transfer rates stand at 19 megabytes per second (MBps) and 18MBps for read and write respectively. You can hook up two Delkin ImageRouter together if you want to transfer data with at least five cards.
Built to last, the Delkin ImageRouter comes with a tough, plastic shell. It will be released this April at a yet undisclosed price, but we hope that future interations will come in a more aesthetically pleasing form factor.
