We don’t know where to start on the Dell Studio One 19 as it is white, pretty and at one angle, sexy! The all-in-one is supported by one a very nice and sturdy stand and it can be tilted vertically.
Instead of a really bland screen on a frame, Dell made the Studio One 19’s screen like it is floating. It’s framed by a white acrylic border and attached it to a larger, dimpled base which doubles as speaker grills for the pair of speakers hidden subtly behind those dimples.
The whole configuration only required one cable, the power cable. Dell took the liberty to ship the Studio One 19 with matching wireless keyboard and mouse, giving you a wire-free desktop. However, we’re not too fond of the keyboard. It looks like it’s made out of the material that attracts dirt and oil. We’re pretty sure within a year; the keyboard will turn yellowish, especially at the palm rest.
What about the inner beauty you asked? Well, the Studio One 19 is powered by an Intel Core 2 Duo E7500 processor clocked at 2.93GHz, 4GB of memory, half a Terabyte storage and NVIDIA’s Geforce 9400 GPU, it can totally whip your average computer’s butt. It is preinstalled with Windows Vista Home Edition at the moment but when Windows 7 is released, you will be eligible to upgrade it for no charge at all. Imagine all that in a chassis that’s only 82mm!
Dell also made use of the touch screen by pre-installing a few games that uses the multi touch feature. One of it is Drum Zone, a guitar Hero like game, and the other is where you control a set of drums and various musical instruments. There are also preset beats for you to get into the groove as well.
There is nothing to not like about the Dell Studio One 19 besides the soon-to-be-yellow keyboard. Its hardware specifications is higher than average, its beautiful curves as well as gloriously wide screen makes us want to buy one. Dell’s products are getting nicer these days.
