If you have boxes of slides and 35mm negatives collecting dust, perhaps now is a good time to transfer them into digital copies with the Slides 2 PC device from ION Audio.
The device connects to the PC via a USB port and with a touch of a button, it can digitise your slides and film into 5-megapixel digital images.
Once you do that, it won’t just be easier for others to view the images, say, on a computer or LCD TV, but will also make it easier to archive the images for longer storage.
The device has two trays which has up to six slots each and there is also a blue light indicator on the device to guide you when in scanning process.
The Slides 2 PC device is also equipped with fixed-focus range, automatic exposure and colour balance functions to produce accurate colour conversions, ION Audio said.
This nifty little device costs US$100, excluding shipping costs.
