The DG35EC Classic Series board will be the first to carry Intel’s HD Video logo (on retail boxes), certifying that it is capable of playing 1080p high-definition videos without requiring a graphics card.
The GMA X3500 graphics processor is also the first integrated processor capable of handling Microsoft DirectX10, which is supposed to deliver next-generation graphics in computer games.
The graphics processor also supports OpenGL 2.0 and is very good at rendering 3D graphics, Intel claimed.
The board, formerly codenamed Eva Cove, supports Intel Core 2 processors with a 1,333/1,066/800MHz FSB.
It can also support up to 8GB of DDR2 RAM at 800/667MHz speeds, and has 10 USB ports and two Firewire ports.
