Like the previous range of themed mobile phones such as the Chocolate and the Shine, LG’s latest Ice Cream sensation is aimed at a specific target market while bringing new design innovation to the table. The reason it’s called the Ice Cream phone is due to the device’s color choices, although there must be more than just color to associate feminism with Ice Cream!

3 colors to chose : Baby blue, white and baby pink
Currently available in a clamshell form (with more form factors to come, undoubtedly), the KF350 has a plain Jane look to it, apart from its pastel colors – until you activate the device for the first time. While flipping the phone open a row of LEDs on the front of the device lights up and shows off the limpid 3D detailing on the cover while a quasi-hidden second dot matrix display shows off an animation or the number of an incoming call. Pretty cool, especially when you flip the phone open at night! Its animation is configurable as well, and special icons appear when there’s a missed call, SMS or when an alarm rings.
Beyond its lovely cover, the device sports a clean look inside. Large, soft keypad buttons dominate the lower half while its 2.2” screen which is small in comparison to its size doesn’t appear to be tiny thanks to its vibrant colors and high standard brightness. We definitely love the keypad as it epitomizes the feel and feedback of this input method. Even with slimness of the device, the ample space and key travel is comfortable for a day’s worth of texting, while navigational duties are made easy with the space in between the keys.

The large keypad make it perfect for typing!
Based off LG’s tried and true menu system, the KF350 does not lack any traction in the user friendliness department. Menus are concise and unlike some interfaces in the past, it takes between three to four taps of a button to get where you want. Thumbnail loading may be a bit of drag, especially if image files are large (circa 4MB) although videos seem to operate just fine.
We tested microSD capacities up to 4GB, and the device accepts large storage without any problems, giving girls with the love of being in front of the camera some reason to use this as their primary tool.
Unlike LG’s other higher-end mobile phone models, the KF350 does not sport a flash for its camera, giving it a disadvantage in low light conditions. Images taken during the daytime are acceptable to most users bar the most demanding ones and thanks to a quick menu, you are able to access them in a jiffy without any real slowdown.

3.2MP camera but without a flash!
The battery life is impressive as well, giving us three days between full charges, even with all the animations and LEDs turned on. Admittedly, its sweet outlook will definitely be the final factors in buying the phone. It’s simply too cute for one to miss it!
