This phone is really for idiots, i mean who will spend that amount of money for this kinda phone, might as well buy the useless Nokia 8800. Same stupid phone but at least it has the looks. bummer

I owned a Motorola V70, and AURA will be my next phone, but NOT USD2000 for it.

the phone looks nice and has new features but i prefer Nokia phones, because i had a bad experience with the V3 charging problems.

Motorola, in trying to recapture some of the glory of its RAZR-days, has instead created the dumbest phone on the planet in the AURA. It boasts a 1.5″ (diameter) screen when all other phone manufacturers are shooting for 3″+ screens in their flagship models. It takes photos/video on a circular screen, which either entails the impossibility of proper framing (due to the corners being cut off by the circular design, unless the final files share the circular crop), or having to compose shots using a tiny ~1.5″ screen. It has a standard numerical pad where other high-end phones have a touchscreen, a qwerty keyboard, or both. It has a stainless steel body, PVD coating, a 62-carat crystal screen, and Swiss design, to house and protect obsolete technology. Unsurprisingly, it lacks a web browser. Maybe one of the A’s in “AURA” stands for “Anachronism.”

Motorola claims the design is “inspired by high-end watches,” and it more than shows. When unfolded, the thing looks like a big shiny watch. However, in stark contrast to time-keeping technology, which had gone as far as it can go long ago, mobile phones are the current center of technological innovation. To charge as much as they ask for dated technology, albeit in a needlessly glitzy (and, imo, ugly) package, is an insult. Motorola has been in the phone business since 1928. Unfortunately, somewhere along the way, Motorola forgot that phones are not watches.
