There are many varieties of Bluetooth Headsets today of the cheap-and-cheerful type. Moving to the next level, however, there are stereo Bluetooth headsets that not only answer your your phone but let you listen and control your music on Bluetooth music phones and other devices. Motorola’s S9 headset is just such a pair, and will hook you up to your music via the A2DP protocol. This is used on many mid-high range music phones today and should be compatible across manufacturers.

The Motorokr S9 design is a sporty one, with a water-resistant rubber headband that fits around the back of your head. The earpieces fit in your ear and comes with a different sized earpieces. To control the Motorokr S9, there are volume and track select keys directly on the headband on either side. The battery and power button are are housed in a bulge directly at the back of of your head. On top of the sporty design, the Motorokr S9 is also pretty lightweight at just 32g.

Connecting the S9 to Bluetooth devices was standard procedure. Once paired, we got music playing through the Motorokr S9 in pretty much the same A2DP quality found in other stereo headsets. Finding the control keys while wearing the Motorokr S9 was a little tricky as they were flush with the band. Upon an incoming call, the mono signal was played only on the left earphone. The built-in mic lets you carry conversations seamlessly.
Overall, the Motorokr S9 offers a good combination of a stereo Bluetooth headset in a sturdy sporty package for music on the go.
