When I took the C7280's predecessor C6100 to be repaired the assistant was amazed that I should want to repair one as old as 18 months! "if it had been within the year's warranty period we would simply have swapped it for a new model." She didn't seem aware that any would last this long. In the event they couldn't repair it because both the ink transport mechanism and the main board had failed. My advice is make sure yours is wrecked before the warranty expires - shouldn't be difficult to achieve! - especially since they now come with 2 years' life expectation. Seems to me a far cry from the reputation HP built up for their printers in the early days of PCs.

I have the same one at the office. Really a good value. Recently I also acquired a free Phaser 8560 from Xerox thru freeprinterpromo.com - Have been using this printer for more than a year now and had no maintenance issue with it to date. It prints fast with good quality. This unit is best for network groups which requires bulk printing.
